Dear Parents,

 

On Thursday, February 15, Havre de Grace Elementary School will be having its annual Jump Rope for Heart event.  Each grade level will participate as this will be their special areas class for the day. Students are not required to collect money in order to participate. Collecting donations is strictly optional. All money collected goes directly to the American Heart Association.  If your child is interested in collecting money, there are online options for raising money as well as companies that will offer matching donations to your child.  Any money raised needs to be returned on the day of the event.  Since all students in the school are participating and the event is during the school day, permission slips do not need to be returned. Teachers at HdGES will be supervising so parent volunteers are not needed. Thank you in advance for supporting this wonderful event.

   Mr. Sedlak

Mr. Sedlak grew up in Harford County.  He received his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Salisbury University and his Master's degree in Athletic Administration from Goucher College.  Mr. Sedlak started teaching in Harford County in the fall of 2000.  This is his third year here at Havre de Grace Elementary, and this is the seventh school where Mr. Sedlak has taught.

 

 

 Please continue to leave the jewelry at home and keep wearing those tennis shoes.  If the weather does become poor, please have your child pack their tennis shoes in their book bag or in a plastic bag so that they may change into them when they come to class.  Thank you for your support of the Physical Education program here at Havre de Grace Elementary.
