Mrs. Kimberly Thompson

    The Havre de Grace Elementary School community is sad to announce the passing of one of our beloved former faculty members.  Mrs. Thompson taught at Havre de Grace Elementary school for several years.  She started as a special educator, then taught first, second and third grades.  Mrs. Thompson left to be at home with her new baby girl, Ellery.  However, Mrs. Thompson remained a familiar face in our building as she brought Ellery to meet the staff and also continued to support her colleagues at many after school events and on early dismissal days. 

    Mrs. Thompson died suddenly, at age 31, on Thursday morning, March 15.  Mrs. Thompson was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin and received her master's degree from the College of Notre Dame.  She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and loved basketball and volleyball almost as much as she loved her family.  

In loving memory of Kim Thompson, Havre de Grace Elementary School will be making a donation towards Ellery's educational fund.  This fund was created by the family in lieu of flowers.  Donations towards the fund will be accepted through March 30th.  An envelope will be placed with the secretaries in the school office for people to make their donations.  The money collected will be forwarded to Mercantile Bank for Ellery.
