Catherine Holmes
I'm entering my 35th year of teaching and all of it has been done here
in Harford County. The first fifteen and half years were spent at
Aberdeen Middle School. In January of 1988 I was asked to be the first
elementary art teacher in the county and I was assigned to Havre de
Grace and I hope to be here until I retire.
I enjoy teaching so much that I have
begun teaching sewing to several interested students after school. They
design and make their own quilts. In the evenings, I teach cooking in my
home and at the college for children and a parent to learn safety in the
kitchen. I teach once a month Kids Cooking classes at the
Kitchen and Co. Store in Festival Shopping Center.
Teaching is my life work and I love
teaching the children in our school.
